Saharas Fragiles is a documentary project about the threats on saharan natural and cultural heritages. This work intents to share knowledge about saharan heritage and tries to inform public to respect and preservation. Saharas Fragiles encourages Sustainable Tourism in the Saharan area.

Natural and cultural heritage studied

Rock art, archeological sites, architecture, ancient manuscript, flora and fauna.

Why ?

° Tourists don't always act very well in the Sahara, and they add new threats on heritage. The most part of them don't act by vandalism, but because of a lack of information.

° "These cultural and natural sites constitute, together with many others, a common heritage, to be treasured as unique testimonies to an enduring past. Their disappearance would be an irreparable loss for each and every one of us. And yet, most are threatened, particularly in present times. The preservation of this common heritage concerns us all."

° Species are threatened.

° By sprinkling or touching some of the most beautifully
decorated walls in order to better photograph or raise them, people has weakened or made disappear hundreds of prehistoric paintings.

° Archeological sites are plundered.
