Garena’s battle royale Free Fire has made a permanent addition to the game. Players will inflict death, destruction, and mayhem on the new Kalahari Desert map while earning rewards.

February 28 will see the new fully accessible and permanent Kalahari Desert map.

New game mode for Steffie characters and training grounds

A new game mode for characters and training grounds is introduced in Free Fire.

Steffie is a 23 year old professional graffiti artist who seems sassy, but deep down she wants to help people and make the world a better place. Her active in-game skills reflect this desire to help others as she creates an area of graffiti around her that strengthens the defenses of those within. Players who find themselves inside its graffiti will find that they take less damage from explosions and bullets while their armor will not decrease when taking damage.

Players who prefer to hone their combat skills outside of an active war zone can do so at the training grounds. This new game mode gives players the chance to learn more about their weapons, character skills, and maybe even meet new friends to create the squad of their dreams. Two Major Areas are accessible in the Training Grounds. The first is a shooting range that has all the weapons available in Free Fire, allowing players to learn more about them and practice how to use them to the best of their ability. The second is an exhibition area where players can fight against each other and revive each other as many times as they want.

Officially released by Garena in 2017, Free Fire is rapidly rising up the charts that have long been dominated by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite. The battle royale is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.
